A Fresh Start (aka massive polish clear out)

Some of you may already know that as part of my birthday present this year I got to upgrade my polish storage system!!! YAY for more space! Here are some illustrations:

Since the IG response has been overwhelming (THANK YOU!!!!), I have decided to do "lucky dip" lots.

I have over 150 bottles to get rid of and taking pictures will take up way too much time - I want them gone!!!!!

Each "lucky dip" lot will contain 4-6 bottles plus (depending on brands) and sweet extras.

Including the following brands: OPI, China Glaze, Butter London, Orly, Barielle, Misa, a England, Barry M, Catrice, Color Club, Essence, Essie, Models Own, Nails Inc, Revlon, Sally Hansen..... PLUS
ALL THE AUSSIE INDIES (Emily De Molly, Gloss'N'Sparkle, Pretty Serious, Alana Renee, Shades Of Phoenix, Arcane etc) and Australian brand name polishes.

Each lot is AUD$30 plus shipping (see below for all the shipping rates)

Recently I was going through my Helmer, making room for some new goodies,
and I noticed some similar polishes - here are some quick comparison swatches.

(All polishes swatched in the order of the bottles, 2 coats unless noted)

Violet:

L-R: ulta3 allure; Maybelline Color Show Amethyst Ablaze; Mode Blue Steel

ulta3 and Maybelline are close, but the opacity is different (ulta3 needs more coats). 

What to expect in 2013

Howdy all! In case you missed me (or didn't know I was away! LOL) - I'm baaaa-ack!

Thought I should stick my head out and just let you know what to expect on the blog after the holidays. 

First of all, let me say "Thank you!" for all your lovely holiday (vacation and Christmas) wishes. 

We had a fantastic time in Bali (and I will show you all of the OPI goodies I found!!).
Also I am planning to dedicate January to showcasing some more Australian brands
(since January 26 is Australia Day).

I will also continue the to follow the two challenges (Where in the world? and The Battle).

Not sure if I should put the Blog Sale page up again - I'd love to hear your opinions on this!

Also, there was a lot (I mean a whole lot!) of nail mail waiting when we got back,
including Secret Santa presents - so I'll do some posts on that!

Of course, Nikolai and Cat will be appearing on the blog too!

When bloggers meet up (aka EPIC HAUL)

Yesterday I had an awesome experience of meeting up with a fellow blogger - Mai from Nanna Nap! 

It was so much fun!!! Amazing to be able to talk face-to-face about the stuff we write and read about (although she did call me a "crazy enabler" LOL). 

As you would expect, the day was spent hunting polish and chatting)))

I was recently combing through my stash looking for items to part with (check out the blogsale - I added heaps of new stuff!!) and I found this Hello Kitty polish that I don't think I've worn yet.

It took a gazillion pictures to capture the shimmer/duochrome/whatever-it-is-called-greatness in the bottle, in real life it is very obvious in the bottle and on the nails though.
