The Liebster Blog Award Tag
I was tagged by Olga from Behind The Stage Beauty for this award. Thank you - makes me feel special!
The rules are as follows:
The rules are as follows:
- Each person tagged must post 11 things about themselves.
- They must also answer the 11 questions the 'tagger' has set for them.
- They must create 11 more questions to ask bloggers they have decided to tag.
- They must then choose 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers and tag them in their post.
- These lucky bloggers must then be told.
- There is no tag backs.
The award is given to bloggers who have less than 200 followers, to expose them to more followers and other blogs. I think this is a great idea!

Under A Spell
Last night I wasn't feeling up to anything complicated, so I did a quick stamping mani. The end result reminds me of this kind of design (don't really know what to call it):

Playing cat-ch up!
Seeing as the blog is named CATS-n-nails I think I should do another post with pictures of the little monkeys.

Shoe-spiration Series - Part Three
Today's manicure is by far my favorite in these series! In my opinion it came together beautifully - and there is no mistaking which shoe is represents.

Shoe-spiration Series - Part Two
These are my Loriblu platform peeptoes - an explosion of colour and print!
The picture doesn't do them justice really, because in real life they are glossy and sparkly in addition to having every colour and print imaginable.

Shoe-spiration Series - Part One
Don't you wish you could wear your favorites shoes all the time?! Well, maybe we could put them on our nails! So I did.
I will do a three-part series of manicures inspired by my favorite shoes. The first pair - nude and navy quilted ballet flats. They have cute little gold studs around the toe and heel.

Sail Away
Since recent travels took us to a few seaside towns I thought it would be fitting to try something nautical on my nails. I used this fabric print as my inspiration:

Eternal question
"What to wear?" and "What to put on my nails?" - Sometimes I find the answers to both by accident. Like putting a "mismatched" top and a skirt next to each other can give me an "A-ha!" moment and an outfit idea. Same with my nails - bottles of polish usually grouped by colour family shine through when surrounded by a completely "foreign" shade.

Back in action
Well, it's back to the daily grind after a very relaxing getaway. Just as soon as I sort out my cats and my nails (both are in need of TLC) I'll be back with a loooong post. Thanks for stopping by!

Tasmania Lite
As we are about to embark on a holiday, I thought it would be fitting to show what I've packed for an 11-day driving (mostly) trip. I say mostly, because we do have to fly (4+1.5 hours) to get over there.

I am seeing spots
For my first manicure post I decided to show a mani that I did recently using 10 (!) different colours. This was a design inspired by an Aboriginal dot painting I found:
The difference in the colours is very subtle, I guess this would be considered a monochrome manicure. Here is my take on it:
To achieve this look I started by creating a watermarble using China Glaze Sea Spray, Secret Peri-wink-le and Flyin' High. Once the design was dry to the touch I added some dots using dotting tools of various sizes. Please leave comment if you'd like to know the polishes I used for this, there were too many to remember right now, but I think I wrote them down somewhere *wink*.

So there you have it - my own take on artwork. I hope you too will be inspired by these beautiful paintings.

Introduction to the cats
Here are my lovely kitties, first up is Agent Nikolai. He is our newest family member, and definitely the most playful one.

I have a blog. What now?
Well, this is awkward. I thought I would know what to write by the time I got to this part. How should I start? "Hello world!" or maybe "Welcome to my blog?" - both seem rather silly. I shall ponder and return with something more sensible. Bye for now.
